DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

The market on fresh whole turkeys is steady. The market on frozen 8-16 lb. hens and 
16-24 lb. toms is steady for November and steady to weak for December. Fresh demand 
is moderate to good. Frozen 8-16 lb. hen demand is moderate to good, frozen 16-24 lb. 
toms light to moderate. December demand light to moderate centering on hens. Fresh 
offerings light. Frozen domestic processor offerings of Grade A 8-16 lb. hens and 16-
20 lb. toms nil to very light and 20-24 lb. toms light to moderate for November, 
light to moderate for December. Frozen Grade A basted equivalent processor offering 
prices on a national basis for 8-16 lb. hens are 105.00-120.00 cents FOB for current 
deliveries and 16-24 lb. tom offerings noted at 105.00-120.00 cents FOB for current 
deliveries with the lower trending offering prices for December. Trading slow for 
Thanksgiving needs on 8-16 lb. hens at 113 cents FOB and 16-24 lb. toms at 117.25 
cents FOB. 

The fresh tom breast meat and fresh destrapped tenderloin market is steady to weak, 
fresh white trims steady at best. Frozen scapula market is steady to weak, balance of 
frozen white meat and white trim markets steady at best. Fresh demand is light to 
moderate, mostly light. Frozen demand light. Offerings moderate to moderately heavy. 
The 4-8 lb. and 8-10 lb. bone-in breast markets are steady with firm undertones while 
10 lb. and heavier sizes are mostly steady with mixed undertones. Demand fair to good 
on consumer sized breasts with offerings very light. Demand on heavier institutional 
sized bone-in breasts light. Offerings light to moderate. The market on tom bulk 
parts is steady to firm with 2-joint wings steadiest. Demand moderate to good. 
Offerings of tom 2-joint wings light to moderate, balance very light to light. The 
hen bulk parts market is steady with a stronger undertone noted on drums. Demand 
light to moderate. Offerings light at best. The thigh meat market is steady. The 
mechanically separated turkey (MST) market is steady with a steady to firm undertone. 
Demand moderate to good. Offerings light. Trading slow. Production schedules continue 
to be influenced by labor issues. Trucks are noted by some to be abnormally short 
when compared to previous years.

EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Trading slow. The market on frozen scapula is steady to weak, tom 2-joint wings 
steady, balance of items steady to firm. Demand light to good, mostly light to 
moderate. Offerings light to moderate.
